For this task it was to make a British seaside collage in the software, Adobe Photoshop. I had previous experience already in using the software from my graphics course in college so I didn’t really need to learn much about the tools. I used mainly secondary sourced images to create this collage with 3 additional primary sources.

The tools that I mainly used to create this was the cut and smudge tool, these helped a lot when merging the whole imagery together. The smudge tool couldn’t create all of the blends however so I experimented with contrasts and the brightness of a image to make it look one with the image as best as I could. With adding all of this imagery to the image I began to see a high variety of colours stretching across the collage, this then gave me the idea of taking some of them colours and adding it to a more dull and dark area to bring the image to life. My collage may seem crowded, it was made this way because there’s a lot of activities to do and its fun for everyone, all ages.
I decided to colour the water red and green because of the way that the temperatures never right in the sea, its always either too cold or warm. The sea also consists of people playing and objects floating within the water, coins are there just for the simple thought of that money is always been spent every time you go on shops or amusements. I added the bike arcade machine next to the water on the little pier, one edge looked too smudged at first so I decided to turn that smudge into colour and stretch it round to the sea front buildings, which most of those buildings are always amusements and shops so it worked out with the colour.
