Reflection:

Overall from working as a team, I feel like we all enjoyed working on this project together. We all contributed in our own way and stepped out of our comfort zones, trying different methods while getting feedback from one another. I found this project a great opportunity to also find my role within a group and to show what I could offer.

Our Project title slide from the PowerPoint, assembled by Karl.

We all offered support to one another, whenever one was falling behind or struggling in a certain area we each helped pitch in. From this support, we were then able to teach each other to overcome the problem and reach the goals ahead. Whilst working with a range of different skill sets also, I found that I was able to strengthen areas and learn new things that I didn’t plan on doing towards the beginning of the project. For example, I ended up building up elements of UI and learning pieces of game design in the process.

Despite my work commitments, I managed to pull through every week with new pieces of materials to show. I did struggle with balancing work at first until I began scheduling my time, this ended up helping me out loads as it helped me organise my time effectively. Having supportive teammates also helped encourage me to do so and get work done on time.

In conclusion, from working as a team I have learned lessons about time, commitment to a project and feeling comfortable with trusting others. At first, I was quite worried about not fitting in with the group but over time we got to know each other and ended up working extremely well, bouncing off of each other’s ideas almost naturally. To improve next time as a group, I would say that we could work on scheduling. I believe this because some of us were falling behind at one point, Jaydon especially with submissions for the PowerPoint.
