Asset List

On this page, I will be discussing assets for my story and how I will apply them. To begin with, I looked into my inspiration for my artwork.

Inspirations –

The following few pieces of imagery are examples of the art style that I intend to make for all the visual assets, they all share the same colourful water brush markings. I have chosen to continue with the watercolour art style for this piece as I feel like I can capture the playfulness and express my creativity through the page.

For my project, all of the visual assets will be created originally by hand, and then converted digitally using SketchBook Pro and Adobe Illustrator.

My Front cover for the book shows the range of assets used within the artwork, it has the characters and the background assets all within one image.

What assets do I need?

-Character Assets: Noah, Pete and Ghost. (These are complete)

-Foreground Assets: Fence, slide, swing, bushes, rocks, log.

-Pickup Assets: Feathers, Pete.

-Background Assets: Garden, bridge, forest scenes and huge rock.

Audio

This project will include elements of audio within the story, some of these features will be made originally and others will be used from a sound library. Audio will mainly be used for expressing the interactive elements of the story, it will also help immerse the reader into the book with background noises and sounds to display features. Below is an example of how I would like to use audio within my book, this mainly covers the narrative side of speech and navigation to the story.

Here I have constructed a table of Audio assets that I could use for my story with a short explanation and where I’d get the noise from. I think this was a great idea to make as it helps separate the information and gives me a list of assets that I need for the project.

In the next post, I shall show my time management and how I will use it for my project.
