Asset 5 & 6 Textured:

Chemical Box:

This asset is made up of 3 main textures; the wood, the lock metals and the chemical holder within.

To start I applied the wooden material to the body, this was a lighter base compared to the other assets so I could layer making certain areas darker to define details. Dirt brush strokes were mainly made around the edges of the box with a decreased opacity, this added an age element to box making it look worn.

The metal textures were made with the brass material as the main starting layer, this was then built on top of with a low opacity of pure gold. By adding the hint of gold, it increases the clarity of the shape of the metal making it stand out more compared to the body. With the buckles, I increased the roughness making them less metallic.

The holder within has been created with a stone material with added dark charcoal brush strokes scattered around the asset. This helped me achieve a rust like texture surrounding most of the edges.

Clamp:

An aluminium material was used for this asset as a base with a black cobalt texture smudged into certain areas of the metal.

I kept the opacity of the metal to about 85%, I did this so I could create a slight difference between the stand and the clamps it self.
