For the lighting of my assets, I decided to go with a circle aiArealight. This was chosen because I wanted the light to shine down into the scene giving the assets a bit of shade, hopefully creating a moody/ unusual atmosphere. I tried using a square light but it didn’t have the right intensity of light needed for the scene, it was always too bright and sharp in my opinion.

Here are two examples of me experimenting with the exposer and intensity of the light source, I found that there’s a massive difference create upon the textures when brightening them up. It’s more clear to see but I think I needed a balance in between so I can still capture the same atmosphere I was trying to create.

To solve my light problem I ended up making a cube poly and extruded the inside of it making the box hollow. I did this so I could control the amount of light being bounced from each object.
