“Exquisite detail leads to personal micro readings, individual stories about the data.”(Tufte, 1990) When you combined all of these small micro readings of data together it shall create an even bigger story, looking at things in the bigger picture, having a whole new meaning and purpose to the design. In the entertainment industry, artists find new ways to interact and connect with their audience through their work.

The Infinity Mirror Room – The Souls of Millions of Light Years Away.
This visual is from an art exhibition based in Los Angeles of colourful LED lights used with mirrors to create a kaleidoscope effect, repeating along almost infinitely into the background. I have chosen this example specifically to show another form of entertainment for the lights, the making of art. There are lots of meanings and interpretations that the Infinity Mirror Room holds, including stories that it could tell to each individual person. For example, the smaller multi-coloured LED lights could resemble stars scattering across the universe with the much large lights acting as planets, this paradox creates endless possibilities. Each star and planet is unique to one another but yet so similar, they are all connected to one another in space, ” Essentially describes micro as the details that make up a whole”(Tufte, 1990), Kusuma has captured all of this in colour and layering to create this endless universe as a whole. The person in the middle of the photograph also helps shows how open and little we are compared to the rest of the universe, that there’s still plenty to discover. The reflection of one’s self-being spread across millions of light-years away into an infinite mysterious void of coloured space.
