The example below shows the alteration of not only the size of the snowflakes but colour also, the primary colours shine more dominantly than the rest of the flakes, giving off a warm glow of colour.
Looking deeper into the design of the flake, I engraved a bauble/light pattern into it, this was made to show the snowflakes becoming decoration to form the tree. Some of the other snowflakes however have less detail and shape, this is to an extra difference between the back and foreground of the animation and to show a variety of forms that snowflakes can take. Comparing the trees within the animation, there shall be small changes in shades of colour and form to present further depth within the scene. Lighter colours are used in the foreground and darker fade into the distance.
