More Furniture/Deco –

This week I shall be taking a break from the larger assets and work on the small decorations that could be plotted around the hotel, for example below I have focused on making a variety of different types of books, large and small. These books are created as a single asset however so they are purely used for decoration on objects like shelves for example unless we generate a UI overlay when clicking on the book, showing what’s inside.

Giving the player more options to choose from –

At the beginning of the project, there was a sole focus on playing one specific character, a non-definable faceless figure that everyone would like to play as. This week’s feedback gave me the opportunity to develop the characters further by adding an extra character to appeal to a wider range of audiences. Whosever the player gets the choice of who they want to be, this creates an engagement with the player itself making them seem more in control of their actions than being forced to play as one single character. The story of the characters at the moment however is kept the same.

Both Characters Side By Side –

To create this other character I duplicated the body of the first figure and altered it slightly to change its appearance. Since the storylines are the same for each character I decided to keep the clothing the same, they both share the same storyline the only difference is the body shape.
