Our Group has decided to go with a laboratory approach to the themed rooms, this was agreed by all of us with a few twists. The twists we mainly discussed was instead of doing an ordinary laboratory, we would all have our own spin on the subject. Going from a Victorian Laboratory to a more mad scientist lab. By doing this we would be able to create a variety of assets which wont be the same or look too similar hopefully.
My approach to this is more of a blend between the Mad and Victorian themed laboratory, something similar to do with this alchemist lab image but with other different assets included.

Jars / Chemical tubes –
I want to put some of these on the shelf or the counter of the asset, converted into different shapes and sized. Probably taking influence from the mid century ones as seen below.

Books –
I’d like some of these laid out also, maybe piled up or stored on the cabinet. These can go from small to large depending on the giving place and position. The style of them will be influenced by the image below to capture the old appearance.

Mortar and Pestle –
Make one with this type of style, white stone base and the wooden tools. The placement of the asset would be on the counter, this will have one of the tools within the Mortar and the other laid out. Scale wise it would probably be small.

Glass vile holder box –
I am roughly aiming for this kind of style holder, containing at least 6 bottles within or less. The box probably would be presented like this image with the lid open, only thing that I might not add would be the key.

Chemical Clamp with stand-
Just a stand altered with the correct test tube in mind, placed on top of the counter. This would probably have at least 2 to 3 test tubes near the asset, including the tube that’s being held.

Vintage Wooden Jar –
I’ve seen quite a few of these when researching my theme, most have a cloth attached to the lid. I’m going to use this type of form for the jar, including the wooden texture most likely. The handle will still remain probably , I may tweak it slightly to either face down or to be made out of a different shape completely.

Work Goggles –
There’s different versions of lab goggles I have found while researching, these ones appealed the most to me because of the way its structured. The form is more solid than the other goggles I found relating to the subject, the appeal of this pair of goggles look sort of mad scientist/steam punk like with the colour and shapes.

Stool –
I found quite a lot of examples of these, the ones standing out the most to me would be the wooden tops with the metal stands. The top of the stool seems to be shaped differently depending on the style of the wood. When making my own, I may experiment with the curves of the seat.
Lab Counter –
For the counter I would like it to look wooden like these 2 examples that I found. Not as stretched as the first one however but I do like the style of the draws and the texture of it compared to the second.
