Asset 1:
For the first asset, I decided to start off making the flasks for the scene. These flasks were made in different shapes and sizes to create more of a variety, in laboratories that I have seen from researching they have all different curves and forms of body with a range of caps for the tops. Presented below is what the models turned out in a orthographic view, there’s a high amount of polys used here to construct the shape this is from when I smoothed the models to get clean and refined edges.

Here’s what the models look like separated into their individual parts:

For the caps of the flasks, I thought I’d experiment extruding shapes to create my own being influenced by the ones I’ve seen from research. The first one was the hardest to make in my opinion, I struggled at first with making the shape because of my vertex points being miss placed. This lead me to almost starting the shape again until if found the error being the missing edge loop, once that was added I was able to extrude smoothly.

Asset 2:
The wooden jar was fairly simple to make, it was mainly extruding the faces working from a cylinder poly with the lid being created separate from the body. The section of this that I struggled with the most was the handle of the jar, it took main attempts to make work. for construct it I extruded up from the body evenly from both sides and connected each vertex point, moving then around to create a some sort of a curve. Looking back at this I could of probably made the handle separate from the body of the jar and combine it afterwards so it would of been easier to texture.

The lid was fairly simple to create compared to the body as there was less to extrude and build up on the poly. If I was to make this lid again I would most likely alter the size of the lid handle as it looks a bit too big in my opinion, i would scale it down ever so slightly making the neck of it shorter.
